The Song of an English Robin
The Song of an English Robin
12 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches
Signed on reverse
The original pencil drawing and color notes for this work were made in Oudolf Field, a lovely garden in Somerset, England. The garden was designed by Piet Oudolf, who also landscaped the Highline in New York. It was January. The day was crisp and clear, but not freezing. The robins were visiting to forage seeds. The drawing and it’s color is an abstraction of the calls they were exchanging.
